Worried That SBI! is a Scam?

Let me put it all out in the open...

Now that we've got that out the way, let me address the scam cries made by people who have usually never bought SBI! and are judging it solely on the price.

First of all, I do understand why people react so strongly to SBI!.

To create a website today, it costs between $5 and $10 per month for hosting. So why in the world would someone pay $29/month or $299/yr for Site Build It! when there are obviously cheaper ways of building a website?

It makes no sense! SBI! has to be a scam, right?

Wrong.

First of all, to compare SBI! to GoDaddy or any of the other popular web hosts that offer low-cost hosting is a tremendous mistake.

These companies are not in the business of helping you make money. They are domain registrars and web hosting companies.

It is their job to ensure your site is up and running, provide you with web space, scripts for your site and email accounts.

The rest is up to you to learn on your own.

They do not help you with marketing your website and building content so you attract warm, willing-to-buy visitors who will fall in love with your website and become life-long customers.

It's just not part of their business model.

And if you're the kind of person who doesn't need the hand holding and guidance, you may do just fine with a low-cost web hosting model. SBI! is only presented here as an option.

It's certainly not the only way to build a successful site.

However, if you are looking for an all-in-one solution with the domain name, hosting, website builder, mailing list manager, marketing help, forum support all in one place, then SBI! may be for you.

So you're primarily paying for the system of tools all in one place and the guidance that other hosts don't provide. That is the true value of SBI!.

My Site Build It! Story

When Site Build It! first launched in 2000, I already had a website that I created on my own with a program called Microsoft FrontPage (no longer exists).

I didn't see a need for SBI! because I already knew how to create a website and it was already making a bit of money online.

However, let me keep it very real. I was quite intrigued by their generous affiliate program so I developed a plan to buy SBI! and see how it worked.

If I liked it and my site made some money, I would use my SBI! site as a case study/example for this website to show people that I actually use it and it works.

Fortunately for me, that's exactly what happened. My SBI! site, Flat Stomach Exercises earned the $299 back in a few short months mostly from Google ads and affiliate programs.

I must admit, using SBI! was kind of strange for me because I already knew a lot of what they were teaching, so I had to pretend I knew absolutely nothing and follow their advice as if I were a newbie.

I spent a lot more time on the "brainstorming and research" tools than I typically would prior to building a site, but since I bought this fancy system, I figured I might as well use it and get my money's worth! :-)

Does SBI! Still Work Today?

I bought SBI! in 2005 and times were certainly different then. The Internet was not nearly as saturated as it is today. So I would bet it takes the average person a little longer to see my same results no matter what hosting option you choose.

Having said that, I still very confidently recommend SBI! today and here's why...

1) I have friends who still use SBI! today and they are very happy with their purchase.

2) At least once a month I receive a "thank you" email from a happy customer whom I've referred. It's always cool to witness that "Aha" moment when they realize the value that SBI! delivers compared to lower cost hosts.

3) SBI! is a product that teaches you how to build a profitable site on the information you already have. As long as people are going online to search for information, SBI! will always be a relevant product.

Is SBI! Perfect?

Absolutely not. No product is perfect.

SBI! is primarily for static websites like this. So if you want to create a how-to / information site that makes money with Google ads, affiliate marketing, or your own product sales, it's a nice solution.

It's not a blogging platform, so it's not directly compatible with WordPress unless you also sign up with an additional host.

I personally would LOVE to see them enhance their platform to support WordPress, but I understand they made this decision for security reasons.

As wonderful as WordPress is, it opens up a host of security risks and SiteSell has one of the securest platforms on the Web because all their systems were created by their internal team of programmers.

It's not a replicated hosting platform like most other web hosts that can be vulnerable to hackers. SiteSell prides themselves on their security.

SBI! also just gave their block builder a much-needed overhaul so the templates look better and have come into the 21st century! :-) Nevertheless, you don't have to use the templates that come with their system, but most people choose to because it's much easier to setup.

I Still Give it a Thumbs Up

I am very proud to be an affiliate for Site Build It!. Ken Evoy literally changed my life. Even before he launched SBI!, his books taught me so much about marketing online. He is a huge reason I am able to earn a living on the Internet today.

To call SB!I a scam is quite frankly an insult. First of all, I wouldn't put my reputation on the line by recommending a scam on my site.

Second, it's an insult to the SiteSell team who put so much hard work into building a complete system of tools to help you build a successful website.

Yes, you'll be paying a premium price, but you're also getting premium help. The cost is more than justified.

So I hope this article put to rest any worries or concerns you have about SBI!. Scams are products or services that don't deliver what they promise, or deceive the buyer into buying with lies or false claims.

SBI! never guarantees success, but they do guarantee a complete system of tools and training that are far better than anything you'll ever receive out here. And that's exactly what you'll get.
